The Simcoe County Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee will provide a leadership role on the issues of violence against women in Simcoe County by:
- Advocating for an effective, accessible, comprehensive response to violence against women
- Advocating for systemic change inclusive of a gender analysis
- Acting as the primary resource to municipalities and provincial government ministries and agencies regarding VAW
- Coordinating linkages to promote greater flexibility and responsiveness of services/supports to meet the expressed needs of women who experience violence
- Committing to inclusivity and diversity in all responses to violence against women
