Partner Assault Response Program (PAR): The Partner Assault Response (PAR) program is a Domestic Violence Court initiative that delivers a specialized community-based group education/counselling program to offenders who have been mandated by the court to attend the PAR program in response to a criminal charge involving domestic violence. The program encourages men and women to recognize and accept responsibility for their assaultive behaviour. It assists participants in changing their belief system about power and control issues. The program also enhances victim safety through confidential outreach to victims who have been abused.
This program is available in Barrie, Orillia, Collingwood and Midland.
